A Cheap Wall Mount Heater Is Not Going To Provide You With So Much Heat

I bought the Soleus HGW308 model electrical heater that you can mount to your wall last year. The primary reason why I bought this electrical heater is because we moved into a home that doesn't have central heat and air. It also had absolutely no heat anywhere, nothing previously installed.

I have two little kids and as everyone knows space heaters are not good for kids to be around. So when I spotted this wall mount heater I thought it would be perfect. I can mount this high enough on the wall that little hands could not reach it. Well unfortunately that's the only good thing this wall mounted electrical heater is good for.

Although my very own children did not really touch the heater and it did look a lot better than any unit sitting on the floor, they also did not get hot enough. The heater does not put out sufficient heat to warm a regular sized room. So I went out and purchased two of these wall mounted heaters. One for every child's room.

I put them on the walls and hoped for the best. Their rooms only got a little warmer than the rooms without heat in them. Even with the doorways closed they had to curl up inside their blankets and the room felt cold. I do not think the room ever reached the set temperature or that the heater ever cut off since it never attained the set temperature.

So that is not really Eco friendly, now is it? Needless to say, I took both wall heaters back to the shop. I got the older version that goes on the floor. While they are unattractive they do work. Not long after I got central heat into the home. Now my home is warm and toasty in the winter time, with the children snug safe in their beds. I do not recommend to purchase cheap wall mount heaters for your residence, but rather go for prime quality ones.
