I'm not catholicism-based, but I know many people who follow the rules of this religious conviction very carefully. I admire their dedication, & I think they are magnificent people because of it. There are many things in life that are magnificent in abstract theory, but aren't so great in practice. Though a catholic wedding day seems to cover what the religious conviction means to those who attend, I've to say it is lacking a bit. Though who follow this belief are acclimated to the length of the wedding-ceremony and the christian wedding songs, but for some-one like me, this is some-thing of a shock. One of my dearest friends asked me to be in her catholicism-based wedding, & I had no notion what I was getting in to when I agreed. I enjoyed the christian wedding songs, but it was lengthy!

The ceremony itself is not bad, it's the duration of it. It seemed to me that everybody was traveling in slow motion, & that did not help. A catholic wedding day is a long affair, but that may not be the case if everybody would just go a little quicker. You can get things done with-out appearing hurried if you put your brain to it, but it seemed that everybody who was involved in her catholicism-based wedding wanted to take their time, including the individuals who sang the christian wedding songs.

The duration of the wedding-ceremony was a little bit much for me, and the key factor was my choice of shoe. I had to have some-thing with a heel, but I had no idea that I would have to stand in them for an hour. By the time we were half-way done with the catholicism-based wedding day wedding-ceremony, I thought my feet were going to break off. They hurt like crazy, and my dress wasn't long enough for me to slide them off for a little ease. I noticed many of the other girls in the wedding day were shifting around awkwardly, and when there were minutes when we could sit, one could hear an audible sigh of relief from most of the wedding day party.

Over all, though, the catholic wedding day was gorgeous, & I am happy that my friend & her brand-new husband had the wedding they wanted, & that everything went smoothly. My biggest problem was that I did not know what to expect, & that ought to have been some-thing that I asked as the preparations were being made. She was very aware that we might be uncomfortable, but she was so stressed out that she mentioned this to us much too late. That's okay though, I would do any-thing for her. I will think twice if some-one else asks me to be a part of a catholicism-based wedding day again though.
