Iscar Releases A New Family Of Slitting Cutters Using Tang-Grip Technology And The Sturdiness Of Sumo Tec Grades

Iscar at this time offers a family of high-performance slitting tools that merge the convenience and security of Tang-Grip clamping with the increased strength of the new Sumo Tec insert grades.

The conception, already proven successful in Tang-Grip parting tools, has now been extended to slitting cutters. In the patented Tang-Grip clamping system, inserts are press-fit into their pockets accompanying a distinct hand tool, and are clutched tightly in place without the need for clamps, upper jaws or set screws that can weaken the insert and obstruct chip flow. The pocket design uses cutting forces to keep the insert seated solidly in position, preventing any prospect of insert pull-out. The Tang-Grip clamping system also fosters increased accurate slitting cuts plus lengthened pocket and insert life.
