Some Of The Several Advancements In Carbide Inserts From Iscar Over The Last Decade

Iscar is introducing a brand new unique milling system using tangential, clamped, butterfly-shaped LNKX carbide inserts. The butterfly-shaped insert has meaningful advantages in comparison to the current flat, square shapes. The new design has additional cutting edges, positive rake face, reduced cutting forces resulting in better performance. The carbide inserts are screw-clamped on the edge of various milling cutter types, providing unmatched conditions also for heavy-duty applications with superb surface quality, saving additional finishing operations. End mills are offered for 90 degree shoulder milling and for facing with 45 degree lead angles.

Each carbide insert includes eight cutting edges, four for right-hand and 4 for left-hand cutting, improving the economy of use. The two, toward-center-slanted cutting edges furnish on one side strong and de
